This package is the minimum requirement needed for home security. The VERA Gateway is a central unit that manages all your Z-Wave devices. If an intruder enters your home, then VERA can send you an alert via email or text automatically. VERA will know this, as either the door, window sensor or motion detector will have triggered an alarm by sensing the intruder.
The MicasaVerde Z-Wave Internet Gateway VERA is a fully equipped Z-Wave Internet Gateway which focuses on energy saving and security.

The Aeon Labs Door / Window Sensor is a great device to detect intruders coming into your home.
Saving battery life, it conserves power whilst in sleep mode, but when the connected door or window is opened, the connection breaks. This then sends a wireless signal to your central controller to initiate an alarm, put all the lights on, text you – anything you choose!
The device can control up to 4 other Z-Wave devices so either way, your intruder will know they have been caught!
Setup is simple. Installation is by using screws or double-sided tape on the door or window frame, which when split apart will break the connection and trigger an alarm. The units are tamper proof and an alarm is sounded if the sensors are mis-used.
Also with the Basic Package, you'll receive a HomePro Motion Detector. This Infra Red motion detector is fully compatible with any other Z-Wave product.
Once triggered, depending how you choose to set it up, an email can be sent to your neighbour, or a trigger could turn on associated lights in the room. Similar to the window and door sensors, it can control up to four other Z-Wave devices.
There is also a Double Alarm Intruder notification – both visual on the device, as well as the remote signal which is sent to the controller.
It has a power saving device, where it will sit in sleep mode until it senses movement. Then it sends a wireless signal to the connected controller to initiate further action.
