At Vesternet, we're always looking to introduce the smartest home automation products developed by some of the most respected and trusted brands in the industry. This week we're introducing the home automation range from Oregon Scientific.
Oregon Scientific is one of the most popular electronics manufacturer company that develops innovative and cutting edge technological solutions for a connected home. From weather stations that provide all-round environment tracking to smart sensors that protect your home by automatically sensing anomalies, the Oregon Scientific range touches multiple areas in your home and works seamlessly to maximize your comfort and convenience.
Here's a quick preview of all the products included in the range:
Oregon Scientific PCR800 Rain Gauge with automatic drain technology allows you to track daily and cumulative rainfall without interruption. The rain gauge lets you analyze the water intake of your plants, allowing you to take better care of them. The smart sensor measures rainfall in the measuring range of 0-9999 mm, and is compatible with Oregon Scientific Weather Stations using 3.0 protocol.
Oregon Scientific WMR200 Professional Weather Station provides all-round, accurate and smart weather tracking. The wireless station comes with a barometer, a thermo-hygrometer, anemometer, wind vane and a rain gauge that let you track various environmental parameters like temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, UV lighting (optional), wind speed/direction and rainfall.
The professional weather station features a touch-screen panel that lets you browse, view and control the independent sensors conveniently from a single, unified and easy-to-use interface. It provides at-a-glance weather forecast with icons (sunny / overcast / cloudy / rainy / snowy), so that you can instantly know what's going on.
Oregon Scientific THN132N Wireless Temperature Sensor allows you to wirelessly track the temperature in your room and intelligently configure the heating systems installed in your home to maintain the desired temperature. The smart temperature sensor can be used as a standalone device or in addition to other Oregon Scientific weather stations.
Oregon Scientific STC800 Solar Cell for Pro Station WMR Series can be used to power the Oregon Scientific weather stations using solar power. It is an environment-friendly option that not only helps you save energy, but also provides you the convenience of not changing your batteries frequently.
Oregon Scientific RMR331ES ECO Solar Clock with Temperature tracks indoor as well as outdoor temperature and displays the readings on its bright LCD display. The smart sensor comes with a built-in solar panel for recharging the installed batteries in an environment-friendly manner. It also packs features like radio controlled clock and calendar that allows you to track the time of the day, along with temperature.
Oregon Scientific UV Wireless Sensor UVR128 is an intelligently designed sensor that can differentiate between UV lighting and ambient lighting. You can use the sensor to configure your room's shades, curtains and windows to protect your furniture from bleaching or use it to build a healthy indoor environment.
The smart UV sensor comes with a LCD screen that shows the intensity of radiation, with 0-2 being low, 3-5 medium, 6-7 high, 8-10 very high, and 11-25 being extreme. It saves the UV intensity levels and transmits it to the base unit or the central controller of your home automation system, so that you can intelligently adjust your home to the detected UV radiation level.
Oregon Scientific BAR806 is a complete weather station that tracks temperature and ambient humidity, and provides at-a-glance weather information using visually-appealing icons. The station comes with a solar panel on top for reduced power consumption and improved energy efficiency.
The weather station comes supplied with the Thermal sensor THN132N that lets you conveniently track temperature in different areas of your room. It also lets you take better care of your home by alerting you instantly if there are any major temperature fluctuations in your home. Using three probes, the smart sensor also lets you track the outdoor temperature, and comes with in-built memory for storing minimum/maximum temperature.
Oregon Scientific RGR126 Rain Gauge with Thermometer allows you to measure precipitation up to 100 meters from its base, while the installed probe can detect temperature levels at 30 meters distance. The rain gauge can be used to track daily and cumulative rainfall, so that you can take better care of your plants.
The sensor keeps a nine day history of all the rainfall levels and can track rainfall in the measuring range of 0-99999 mm. The probe (THN122N) provided with the sensor lets you track outdoor temperature in the range of -30 ° C to + 50 ° C and can be paired up with the rain gauge.
Oregon Scientific THGR122NX Temperature and Humidity Sensor 3 channels allows you to wirelessly track the temperature in your room and intelligently configure the heating systems installed in your home to maintain the desired temperature. The smart temperature sensor can be used as a standalone device or in addition to other Oregon Scientific weather stations.
The three-channel thermosensor measures temperature in the range of -20° C to +60° C and humidity in the range of 5% to 95%. It accurately senses temperature/humidity fluctuations with a precision of 0.1 ° C/ 1%. The temperature sensor can be used to trigger intelligent home automation scenarios, like automatically turning on the heating system when it's too cold, or opening up smart door/windows, when it's too hot.
Just like UVR128, Oregon Scientific UV Sensor UVN800 is a smart sensor that records the Ultraviolet Index (UVI), and transmits the information to the base unit or the central controller of your home automation system, so that you can intelligently adjust your home to the detected UV radiation level. For example, you can automatically turn on your blinds and shades, when there's prolonged exposure to UV lighting.
