LWRF Door & Window Sensor
Good product - I'm using it with Raspi Domoticz system with a RFXCOM. System detected these new sensors immediately. They were also very easy to fit - two doors up and working in about 20 mins.

can i use multiple magnetic sensors to operate one relay ?
paul c. 4 Jul 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not completely sure what you mean. The device consists of a sensor (which includes the LightwaveRF transmitter) and a magnetic contact. The magnet sets a reed switch in the sensor when it is in close proximity. So you could use multiple magnets, and the sensor would switch on and off as it passed each magnet.
I'd like to add window sensors to my Z-Wave Vera based heating system which is all driven by LUA/LUUP code, but have been put off due to the high cost of the sensors (and many windows). These Lighwave sensors are very reasonable. If I add these and a RFXtrx433E interface to my system are these sensors easily usable/readable from my code ? Is there a limit to the number of sensors I can use ?

BEST ANSWER: The LightwaveRF LW904 sensors will work fine in VERA/RFX. You can use them to trigger a VERA scene that can then control Z-Wave and LightwaveRF devices in the system. The number of these in a system would have the same limitation as for Z-Wave devices in a VERA. But I would say that you;d not want more than 30 on the RFX.
I want to use the sensors to control a series of events, so if the back door is opened during the hours of darkness, it activates a relay but if the back door and the gate are opened it activates a different relay, can you also tell me if this is IP rated for outdoor use ? I havethe lightwave hub so I know I can set up trigger events based on timers and devices but don't know if this is compatible

BEST ANSWER: This is the LightwaveRF door sensor so work absolutely fine with the LightwaveRF Link. However, I would double check that you can do that level of logic in the Link. As far as I know these sensors just pair with the LightwaveRF device and give simple control of it, not conditional logic as you've outlined.
