Oregon Scientific UV Sensor UVN800 is an intelligently designed sensor that can differentiate between UV lighting and ambient lighting. You can use the sensor to automatically configure your room's shades, curtains and windows to protect your furniture from bleaching or use it to build a healthy indoor environment.
The smart UV sensor records the Ultraviolet Index (UVI) and displays it on the station, also letting you knowing the implied health risk. It also transmits the information to the base unit or the central controller of your home automation system, so that you can intelligently adjust your home to the detected UV radiation level. For example, you can automatically turn on your blinds and shades, when there's too much radiation, so that you can prevent UV damage in your home.
The wireless sensor is battery-powered and comes with a stand for easy and convenient positioning on the floor or on the table/wall. The UV sensor is compatible with all Oregon Scientific weather stations that comply to the 3.0 protocol.
