Z-Wave Fibaro Home Center Lite Compatible

The Everspring EVR_SP814 Z-Wave motion detector can be triggered by movement or changes in light level, allowing it to be used as a security and home automation sensor.

PIR (passive infrared receiver)

Monitors changes in infrared level and movement that indicate a person's presence. Once detected, the unit sends an alert to all the Z-Wave devices it is associated with.

Light Level sensor

Measures a room’s ambient light level (lux) allowing it to trigger an event when the light level below a pre-set level. For instance, when the room is dark and movement is detected the unit signals to the controller to turn the room's lights on - lights come on automatically when you walk into a room.

The detector supports two Z-Wave association Groups, which enables it to communicate with a total of four Z-Wave devices. This means that when the unit is triggered, all devices associated with the unit will receive the alert.

The unit is battery-operated, an alert will be sent to the central controller and the unit's LED will flash when the battery level becomes too low. It also includes a tamper alarm that sends an alarm signal if anyone tries to prevent it working.

Note: To be used as part of a Z-Wave network this sensor requires a suitable Z-Wave controller.

What are the dimensions of the unit?

Do you happen to know if these are compatible with SmartThings?
A Shopper 21 Jun 2016
BEST ANSWER: These are quite simple motion sensors and never caused issues with any other controllers, so they should work fine in SmartThings. However, it's best to check with SmartThings to confirm compatibility. As we understand it, ST needs a device handler for each device. In theory standard Z-Wave devices will include correctly into ST, but unless there is a Device Handler for a device you may not be able to use all its functions, or change configuration settings. Generally, these Device Handlers are created by ST or the ST community and made available from within the Smartapps area. ST has a European compatibility list, but this doesn't yet have new products added to it -
Are these compatible with the Piper NV?
Guest Visitor 5 Mar 2016
BEST ANSWER: As far as we know these are not compatible with Piper. The issue is that Piper only supports a very small number of Z-Wave devices, and last time I checked they did not support any Z-Wave motion sensors. They only want people to use Piper motion sensors. This may have changed if they have allowed better integration for Z-Wave devices.
