The Everspring EVR_SP103 Z-Wave motion detector is triggered by movement; allowing it to be used as a security and home automation sensor.

The sensor monitors changes in infrared level and movement that indicate a person's presence. Once detected, the unit sends an alert to all the Z-Wave devices it is associated with.

It supports one Z-Wave association Group, which enables it to communicate with a total of five Z-Wave devices. This means that when the unit is triggered, all devices associated with the unit will receive the alert.

The unit is battery-operated, an alert will be sent to the central controller and the unit's LED will flash when the battery level becomes too low. It also includes a tamper alarm that sends an alarm signal if anyone tries to prevent it working.

Note: To be used as part of a Z-Wave network this sensor requires a suitable Z-Wave controller.

Is this indoor or outdoor sensor?
18 Jul 2016
BEST ANSWER: Both - according to the Everspring site (that I'm apparently not allowed to provide a link to!) they are rated to IP44 so is suitable for inside or (sheltered) outside use. I've got 3 of these outdoors mounted on the soffit under the gutters & they work well. My only criticism would be that they can be a bit "hungry" when it comes to battery usage - don't mount them somewhere where it's going to be difficult to change the batteries as it's something you're going to have to do fairly frequently!
having replaced the batteries still showing low battery why is that ?

How to do a factory reset on this?
3 Jan 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can "Exclude" the SP103 from your Z-Wave controller, this action will also reset it to factory default configuration. Depending on the Z-Wave controller you are using, we may have a guide that covers it at http://www.vesternet.com/resources/application-notes Hope that helps!
