Discover the power of gestures

The FIBARO Swipe is a revolutionary battery powered gesture-control pad that provides control over home automation devices within the Z-Wave smart home ecosystem without actually touching a gesture to a command. The placement and possibilities of the FIBARO Swipe are truly endless. Imagine swiping up to open the roller shades, swiping down to turn off the lights, swiping right and the music comes on, swiping left to turn the TV on. With four short swipes, the living room is transformed into a home theater! Swipe’s only limit is your imagination. Installed device perfectly matches your interior design, as it resembles a picture frame. You can even personalize it with your favourite picture. Gesture controlled menu allows to add/remove or reset the device without dismantling it.

Feel the power of the gestures

With the wave of your hand you can change the colour of the LED strips. You can also control the heating and air conditioning temperature settings. The high resolution sensor interprets the most complex commands. You will be surprised by the power of your hands and how intelligent the SWIPE is.

Waiting for your move

It's really easy - Raise your hand and swipe it down to turn off the lights. Move your hand up for the colour LED lights to turn on and light up the room. Swipe to the right if you want to turn the TV and other electronics off.
What is your next move?

More than precision

The FIBARO Swipe is equipped with the most precise 3D motion detecting sensor of its kind, which ensures flawless recognition of the performed gestures. This new, innovative way of controlling home automation devices is not just spectacular, but above all, intuitive and user friendly.

Stationary and mobile

SWIPE can be powered by battery (4 x AA) or wire (Micro USB), giving you ultimate flexibility.

Beautiful, just like you

When displayed, SWIPE can be used as a beautifully designed picture frame and allows you to easily change photos whenever you want. It takes just a moment to remove the front panel and you can relive the memories that bring a smile to your face.

A magic switch

SWIPE can be placed in less conventional places: under a desk or hidden in the wall.

Hidden underneath

SWIPE works trough a tabletop! Make one magical gesture and change your world.

This is how children's dreams come true

One simple movement of the hand change the intensity of the light and turn on the music - anything you want! You can make their dreams come alive!

Works with Fibaro and VERA Controllers, see Application Note 128.

Just like the video
I was surprised at how well this worked. Specifically I was surprised that it worked just like the promo video. I bought mine off a friend who bought it from vesternet (he's moved onto something else that doesn't support it) First thing I did was disassemble it! If you run it off a mains you can remove most of the bulk which seems to house the battery electronics. I then ran some tests putting it behind various items and was blown away with the results. It's now fixed under media unit with various gestures setup. It's completely out of sight and works brilliantly. You can add the device using swipe or the include button. Most reviews on the net suggest swipe is problematic but once I figured out the menu, it works perfectly. Entering the swipe menu is achieved by holding your hand over the device until you hear three audible beeps. The instructions then talk about the different sub menus represented by either a single, double or treble beep. In reality, they're more like clicks and a swipe upwards confirms your selection. I figured this out when I accidently reset the device to factory settings. I set it up again using swipe to include it and it worked fine. A great product with so many cool applications, especially if you can power it from the mains. Highly recommended.

Great concept, some improvement needed...
I have been an avid Fibaro user for the last couple of years, and have been pleased with every product (Except this one)... The motion sensor is very temperamental, and does not respond as I would have expected from Fibaro.

Better than I hoped for.
This actually turned out to be better than I expected. Easy to setup and control with HC2. Except for the circular movements (which I'm still to find how to properly get them to work) all other movements work flawlessly. I tested it behind a 3cm thick wooden door and as advertised it recognizes movements through it. That's something I never expected to work. I gave it 4 stars because of the circular movements issue and also because I particularly hate the stand. The frame sits on top of the stand (it's not attached) and a small bump on the frame will move it out of the stand. I believe the circular movements can be fixed through a firmware update but the stand can't. Another thing that might annoy a bit is that movements are only sensed near the frame so if you're doing like in the video where you walk and wave you'll have to do it very close to the frame and be as precise as possible not to hit it with your hand. I understand this is a safety feature - one wouldn't want it to sense every movement you do around the house - but a bit further would make it perfect. Other than these 3 minor annoyances it's really something amazing to have and again, better than I hoped. A smaller size version would also be perfect for some installations (especially inside cabinets or other places) but that may be more technically challenged.

Surprisingly Cool
Just added this a day ago to my HC2. It looks cool, though the back is rather bulbous making wall mounting (without a insert) difficult. Adding the device to HC2 had me flummoxed for a while as you remove your hand and then put it back and swipe up, the instructions were not dramatically clear. Once added I tried with it plug in on a countertop but found it made the movements of your hand limited. I then mounted it on the wall above my Nexus 7 (existing control tablet - always on) with 'no nails tape'. Once in position here the result is awesome. I very easily programmed (drag and drop) it to 1. Turn on 2 RGBW strips & one side lamp (which is my fav lighting setup in Kitchen - living room). 2. Turn on all downstairs lights (for the cleaner, looking for something etc). 3. Raise and lower rear blinds (2 blind units). It might seem a bit gimmicky but actually running scenes this way is much quicker than clicking on the screen icons. It seems accurate and I have been surprised how well its read my hands. Is it worth the money, well thats down to you. Personally yes as I love tech and it's actually performing a useful task for lazy old me.

What is the range at which the gestures will work over? And are there any materials the Swipe will not work behind, e.g. glass?

Does this work with Vera?
A P. 10 Apr 2016
BEST ANSWER: We've not had chance to test it with VERA. So for now, as we highlight in the description, we say this will only work in Fibaro HC2/HCL. We cannot see how the VERA would be able to translate the gestures into scene triggers - this depends on what Z-Wave commands Fibaro have used.
Do you have a Release date and when will it be available ?
Akif S. 21 Mar 2016
BEST ANSWER: We are expecting them to ship from Fibaro to us this week, so we will have stock early next week. However, these release dates often slip by a few days, so we are still saying it will be available by end of March. EDIT ------ We have just received confirmation that the first batch of Swipe are in transit to Vesternet. We will have these by the end of the week.
Is this zwave-eu freq? Do you have black in stock and how does the configuration works with vera edge or non fibaro controllers
Vicardo N. 1 Mar 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi. This is European Z-Wave frequency (868MHz), all our Z-Wave devices are that frequency - We don't have any in stock as they will not be shipping until late March (they are not yet released). At this stage we don't have any information on how (or if) they can be used with non-Fibaro controllers. As soon as we have any information we will post it in our blog.
