After a false start, a great thing
Instructions could be better, or maybe that's just me. But once in and working, it's pretty faultless. The 1 / 2 presses works just fine on my Vera Light. I think if I was going to be picky, it would be nice to get some method of labelling the buttons. There are some pre-printed labels included but they don't cover all eventualities, and don't seem to have any actual match to the buttons in terms of size and shape. Recommended on the whole I shall be buying more

SUPERB SCENE CONTROLLER
Received my controller this morning and had it up and running in no time. I set it up on a Vera Plus Controller running UI7 firmware 1.7.1754 As stated by the other reviewers, this device is small and neat and would meet the ‘Wife Acceptance Factor’ in most homes. The Vera seems to allow two button press options (plus a low battery scene option) using single or double press but unfortunately the double press option does not work, at least not with this firmware version. Currently a double push is treated as two single pushes which limits you to 8 scenes . Hopefully, later versions of the Vera firmware will resolve this issue. Creation of scenes for this device is simple and it is easy to check which scene is attached to each buttonThe stickers provided for the buttons leave a lot to be desired but they do at least show what can be done with a bit of thought.

the ultimate scene controller
received my 2 controllers today , they are perfect , i included them in my zwave network as secondary controllers to my homeseer and i'm very happy with them . with homeseer i can actually activate 3 scenes per button which is total of 12 scenes not 8 as advertised , i believe i don't need more than 12 scenes in one area of the house . Not sure if it can be used as a scene controller and a light controller / dimmer at the same time but will check this option and maybe update my review . I would recommend it to anyone . and as the other reviews said it's very light and thin . Can be mounted anywhere and looks like a regular wall switch

Surpassed expectations
I'm happy to write that I was pleasantly surprised by this little controller. First off, it is little. It is smaller than the images suggest which was great. I set mine up with the HC2 and inclusion was very straight forward. To setup each button you create a scene and use the various button options as your trigger. Here there was a second unexpected surprise, there are multiple button presses available. The official line is the remotec supports two (short and long press) but the fibaro appears to offer 5 different button options. I don't think this means you can have 40 actions (8 physical buttons X 5 virtual button actions) but it does offer alternative button actions. I have mine setup with 16 actions including hue integration and it works seamlessly. The final surprise for me was this little device can act as a stand alone controller. While I won't give up the HC2 for it, it does offer a cost effective solution for remote installations where your zwave network cannot extend to such as a shed down the back of your garden or a separate garage. I do agree with the other review here that the option to swap out buttons or provide the ability to add your own custom backing is a missed opportunity. There are some clear stickers included but they are rather limited. All in all it is a recommended purchase.

Excellent working well with Smartthings v2
Working reliably to change scenes and control individual lights. Device handler available on smartthings forum from erocm123 and it works well with statusbit's remote controller app. Looks smart, but would be nice to have removable button caps for custom labels.

Hoping to use this with Indigo - assuming they add support for it in Indigo 7 whenever it gets released.

Does this work with Vera Lite, using firmware 1.7.855? I'm currently using a LightwaveRF Mood Lighting unit to control my kitchen Sonos but this has more buttons, so would obviously allow me more options.

BEST ANSWER: I do not know about Vera, but it worked flawlessly out of the box with Homeseer through z-wave and I will soon order more. If you already have LightwaveRF setup you could also checkout the "LightwaveRF Mood Lighting Controller (Master Wall Switch) - Stainless Steel SKU: JSJSLW101SS" which I also have working in HomeSeer through an rfxcom antenna that supports LightwaveRF. If you look into other controllers: Do not buy INSTEON 8 Scene Mini Remote (unless you already have complete insteon setup. I really hate devices that can only communicate with devices of the same brand). Do not buy Z-Wave Philio Smart Colour Button Gen5 (unless you only want to control z-wave devices FROM this device. If it serve as a slave, it will only send on/off and NOTHING about all the turning etc. stuff it supports. In my opinion a design flaw). Do not buy Z-Wave Duwi Remote Control (unless you only want to control z-wave devices FROM this device. If it serve as a slave all buttons send the same on/off which essentially makes it a 1-on/off button-remote. In my opinion a design flaw)
Any idea if this will work with Indigo?

BEST ANSWER: At present with Indigo 6 it is not supported but Indigo 7 (to be released soon, but no fixed date) may well do as Matt at Indigo stated "Definitely on our feature request list, and based on the logging it looks like the device definition won't require much/any custom code tweaks which is a positive." Lets hope as great software but requires Gen5 device support.
Has it yet been tested with Vera Edge or Vera Plus?
Nick F. 9 May 2016
BEST ANSWER: Just received mine today for Vera Plus on UI7 and it works fine but with limitations. It has 8 buttons and should allow single or double press on each but at the moment only the single press works. This means you have 8 rather than 16 scenes but it is still agreat device. Hopefully, nwer firmware will add the missing 8 scenes.
Has this been tested for Vera ui7 yet?

Has this been tested with Fibaro controllers?
Tony F. 30 Mar 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. It's only just been released, so no one has tested it yet. If you would like to buy one for testing please let me know and I will provide you with a special price, so long as you provide us feedback on how it works in HC2. Send me an email at sales@vesternet.com
