It just works.
I bought a French version. Rosette, despite the fact that it is large, like. And it seems more reliable and solid than Fibaro, which has poor contact in a socket with small chargers. Slightly annoying inverse indicator, which lights up when the outlet is off.

Works well and reliably
I have three or four of these used with a Zipabox controller and they have worked flawlessly for over a year. This, in contrast to the Duwi on/off switches I have, that periodically turn off for no obvious reason (perhaps they are susceptible to interference?). The TKBs have given me no such problems.

Does this switch have last state memory so in the event of a power failure and if it was ON will it return to the ON state once power is restored? Thanks.

I'm looking for a repeater to extend my network. Will it be a cheaper solution? Does it work with Vera Plus?
7 Nov 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this works with VERA Plus, and like all Z-Wave mains powered devices will act as a repeater.
Does this use a simple relay for switching or does it buzz like a dimmer when on?
Stan F. 6 Nov 2016
BEST ANSWER: This TZ68 socket is a simple relay for switching only. If you need a dimmer socket, you can search TZ67 from their website
does this use a lot of electricity? Thanks for your help!

BEST ANSWER: No, it is very low power comsumption for the socket itself
I have some of these from 2014 but they don't bother to inform the controller when the switch state is changed using the physical button. Has this been fixed in this latest versions? Is there a firmware update for earlier versions?
davidc 17 Sep 2016
BEST ANSWER: That's not technically true, the older version used to send a NIF packet to the Z-Wave controller when the local button was pressed. In response the Z-Wave controller could then interrogate the device to immediately query its status. As far as I'm aware the new Gen5 version now sends a status change report packet instead as the NIF packet is now sent in response to a triple-click on the local button. Hope that helps!
Does this plug allow for the monitoring of power it is using when eg a Lamp is plugged in to it?
Ian M. 12 Sep 2016
BEST ANSWER: No this is a simple On/Off plug. If you would also like to monitor power, then you should use the TKB TZ69 version -
Does the Z-Wave repeater work when the unit is plugged in but in the off position? (mains socket on) or does it need to be turned on as well?
Leigh S. 13 May 2016
BEST ANSWER: So long as the device has power (wall socket on), then it will automatically repeat signals. The wall plug itself doesn't have to be on.
Can you change the LED status so when the plug is off the LED is off? Its the other way round by default
