The Z-Wave Aeon Labs Series 2 USB Controller is the dongle that connects the PC to your home Z-Wave network. This small device (which plugs in to a standard USB socket), passes the USB signals to a serial interface. A device driver is required for this conversion function.
The home automation software will see the Aeon Labs USB Controller as a virtual serial interface, therefore enabling clear and reliable communication throughout your network. The Aeon Labs USB Controller gives you 100% control of your whole home network from your PC. The USB controller has an integrated battery so you can use it as a controller by a local push button.
