This flush-mounted socket from Merten switches resistive loads only. Using a standard pattress box for installation, its designed for use within a 2-wire system, which means that no neutral wire (blue) is needed.
The socket isn't a Z-Wave device itself, but needs to be completed with an active Merten Z-Wave paddle and mounting frame.
The socket itself provides power to the accompanying Z-Wave switching-paddle.
