Vera is a fully equipped Z-Wave Internet Gateway, with extremely simple setup & operation and focus on energy saving & security.

Vera constantly tracks how much energy you are using. Every time you turn on a light, or lower the thermostat, Vera logs it and calculates how much energy is being used. Vera then shows you simple, visual charts of your energy usage: in which rooms the energy is being used, by which types of appliances, at which times of day, day of the week, and so on.

Using the VERA technology, you can create Scenes like Leave for Work and select what you want to happen in your home, when you leave for the day.

Also you can create Events which react when something happens; so for example, when a motion detector is tripped, a light can come on for 5 minutes.

And if that wasn't enough, there is a Timer setting where you can set the lights or the thermostat to go on or off at a certain time.

As a central unit for managing all your Z-Wave devices, Vera also offers additional support through the FREE optimized iPhone application too. With its focus on simplicity, Vera is built for the Home Automation novice, but still extremely powerful - just plug in Vera, and setup is quick and automatic.

Vera also works on MiOS Software which is compatible with PC, Mac or Linux. It effectively turns your computer into a home control hub. VERA stores your home settings so that if an intruder breaks one of the connections between your door and window sensors, or your motion detector is activated, this sends a wireless signal to VERA, who will then act accordingly. If you've given VERA your mobile phone number, she'll send you a text message to tell you what is happening at home.

It even doubles up as pre-configured Wi-Fi access point giving you a secure wireless home network. Simple user-guides and video tutorials are also on hand for any setup questions you have.
