Zigbee devices typically do not have IP addresses because they operate on a different protocol that uses IEEE 802.15.4 for low-power, low-data-rate communication. Instead of IP addresses, Zigbee devices use a unique 16-bit network address assigned by the coordinator within a Zigbee network. However, if a Zigbee device is part of a system that interfaces with IP networks, such as through a Zigbee-to-IP gateway, it can be indirectly associated with an IP address.
