The MCO thermostat includes built-in temperature and humidity sensors. The device displays and uses the built-in temperature sensor value by default for heating control. If an external temperature sensor is installed, it is used as "overheat protection" to prevent certain flooring types from overheating. You can configure the device to use the external temperature sensor for display and heating control if required; however, in most cases, it's the room temperature that people would use rather than the temperature of the floor.
