Samsung is not discontinuing SmartThings as a platform. However, they have phased out some older SmartThings hardware, such as the SmartThings Hub (2015/2018) and certain sensors, to focus on software and integration with third-party devices. The SmartThings ecosystem continues to be supported and developed.
