To add a Z-Wave smoke detector to your Ring system, open the Ring app, go to "Devices," select "Set Up a Device," then choose "Security Devices" and "Sensors." Follow the in-app instructions to put your smoke detector into pairing mode, and the Ring Base Station will detect and add it. Make sure your smoke detector is compatible with Ring before starting the setup.
