Zigbee pairing works by allowing a new device (the joiner) to connect to an existing Zigbee network through a process called "joining." The coordinator or router in the network permits new devices to join, and during pairing, security keys are exchanged to ensure secure communication. Once paired, the device becomes part of the Zigbee network and can communicate with other devices.
