I'd like to give you an insight into some important changes we've been implementing over the past 2 months, mainly driven by two things:
- Customer feedback
- Our recent growth
With thanks to all our happy customers, Vesternet is evolving really fast and as such we've had to implement new operational changes to manage the increase in orders, support & everything in between. Some of the following may be things you would expect as standard from an eCommerce store, and some aren't. The latter being things that probably should have been done different earlier, but only which you notice once the growth happens. So its good news all round - the technologies we offer are becoming really big and we now have much more slick operational processes in place to get your orders to you in as shorter time as possible for the cheapest prices. So, here goes:Better warehousing - over the past 6 weeks our current warehouse was at full stretch to cope with increased orders, but we now have two new ones setup. One in UK and one in mainland Europe (our sales are now split that way 50:50), so we can get orders processed and delivered to anywhere in Europe in extra fast time. We apologise if any of you have been disrupted by this move over the past few weeks, but we're now alot more efficient moving forward.Delivery countries published - see a full list of where we now deliver to Here.Dynamic menu - seems simple, but we didn't need them before. Now we have a growing amount of categories and products, you can now get to them in one click by just hovering your mouse over Z-Wave, LightwaveRF or ZigBee from the top of the site.Shipping confirmations - again this is something we should have done earlier, but now its here. We originally though it fine that users could login to their Vesternet account to see shipping updates, but from now you'll receive an email confirmation when orders are shipped or part-shipped. Read more about this here, and about order statuses here.Live stock levels - on each product page it now shows if the item is in stock or a lead time, so you know before ordering.Faster shipping options - you'll now be offered two delivery options at checkout: FREE (4-7 days), or £6.95 Express (1-3 days)Premium Technical Support - we now offer two levels of tech support: self help which is free to everyone (we have a huge amount of resources & community available). Or premium priced at £9 per month, and this gives you one-to-one support with our technical team.
