Since it's launch earlier this year, the ZipaBox system has been one of the best selling Z-Wave controllers we have. Other than it's easy to use Rule Creator, the great feature of Zipato is that it will support other home automation technologies as well as Z-Wave.
We now have stock of the new ZipaBox 433MHz Expansion Module that connects to the Zipabox enabling it to communicate with various 433MHz-based technologies, including LightwaveRF.
As you may know, the 433MHz frequency band has been used by many home automation systems for wireless communication, including the old X10 devices and new technologies like LightwaveRF.
The Zipato 433MHz LightwaveRF Modules currently supports the following technologies, with more to come soon:
- Oregon Scientific
By using this expansion module you can use Zipabox's power and ease of use to control all these technologies along side Z-Wave devices. You can even use Z-Wave sensors to activate LightwaveRF sockets and dimmers - you can use the best device for the job!
It also means that if you have older technologies in your house, such as X10 that have seen better days, you can start to migrate your system slowly to Z-Wave but retain the use and control of the older devices.
See you soon.
