Protects door and windows from shock or vibration
The Z-Wave Vision Shock and Vibration Sensor monitors movements or vibrations when attached to your door and windows, and alerts you in case they're broken. Since traditional door and window sensors trigger alerts when a door/window is opened, and not when the glass is shattered, they add an extra layer of protection to your home security system.
The sensor can be connected with your Z-Wave home automation network's central controller to trigger an alarm, send a text message or start camera recording, whenever an intrusion is detected.
The sensor can be calibrated manually to adjust to the sensitivity of the material it is attached. For example, if you want to protect a delicate glass casing, you may want to increase the sensitivity, but in case you're attaching it to a hard glass surface, you may want to decrease the sensitivity, so that it provides accurate protection.
Vision shock and vibration sensor comes with tamper protection, which ensures that the device is not tinkered with, outside your notice. In case the device is tampered, the sensor notifies your gateway controller, and can trigger off an alarm. To ensure uninterrupted connectivity, the sensor also notifies you in case you need to change your batteries by flashing its LED and sending an alert to the central controller, so that you can replace them .
The unit is battery-operated and light-weight, which means it can easily be fitted to any door, window or item using screws or double-sided tape.
Note: To be used as part of a Z-Wave network this sensor requires a suitable Z-Wave controller.
Vision Shock and Vibration Sensor is Z-Wave Plus Certified. Z-Wave Plus (5th Generation Z-Wave) offers a lot of new features including increased range, extended battery life and Over The Air upgrading (OTA). Take a look at our "What is Z-Wave Plus" guide for more information | ![]() |
