Using Nest with Z-Wave
Posted on by
As you're no doubt aware, we recently added the entire Nest and Philips Hue ranges to the Vesternet web site. Regular readers of our blog will recall that we mentioned we'd be looking at writing guides surrounding these new products covering integration with Z-Wave systems and various other tips and tricks.
After many weeks of work, we're pleased to announce that the first of this series of guides is now hot-off-the-press and looks at using the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Protect devices within a Z-Wave based Home Automation system.
Take a look at some of the benefits you'll get from using these Nest products alongside your existing Z-Wave devices:
- Single UI and App to control multiple technologies
- Use Nest devices in your existing Scene logic
- Native support for geo-fencing can supplement Nest Learning Thermostat control
We've only scratched the surface here, click here for our complete overview!
At Vesternet we don't just look at the bigger picture, we go deep below the surface and look at how customers can actually achieve this type of integration between different technologies.
With that in mind, we've created some in-depth guides available to all customers that have purchased Nest devices from Vesterent.
In these comprehensive guides we'll show you how to link your Nest devices with both the VERA and Fibaro Z-Wave controllers, creating a hybrid system with minimal effort.
Let us know what you think of them and stay tuned for more guides to follow in the coming months!
