Developers and OEMs can easily design low-cost smart home solutions using the embedded module. It provides them the platform to create a ready-made smart home box that can process and visualise data from batteryless wireless sensors, instead of developing new products from scratch. It can also be linked with cloud services and other automation systems to create a more sophisticated inter-connected setup.
Control EnOcean devices
When used in conjunction with Raspberry Pi, EnOcean Pi can be used to control networks, automation systems and self-powered sensors. The intelligent module enables your Raspberry Pi to control lighting and communicate with EnOcean powered thermostats, switches, and other actuator solutions.
EnOcean Pi comes with a SMD mountable radio transmitter module that enables the use of gateways for EnOcean 868MHz radio systems and provides a bi-directional radio and serial interface for smarter and better communication. The module can be externally connected to Raspberry Pi to remotely control up to 20 sensors using Smart Ack technology.
Free EnOcean Link middleware
EnOcean Pi comes with EnOcean 'Link' middleware that enables users to quickly develop and integrate applications, without going into extensive configuration. The Raspberry Pi provides a platform for the home automation middleware to automate EnOcean-based energy harvesting wireless sensors, thermostats and switches, and create scenes and schedules that provide comfort and convenience, while reducing energy consumption.
