I can't give a full review because I haven't used it but ...
The reason I haven't used it is although I have Lightwave switches etc., I am hoping to broaden out my smart home and incorporate security and heating. The Lightwave system will not (at present) support this. So taking advice from Vesternet I am changing to a Vera Edge Kit (which will operate Lightwave PLUS other devices. Looking forward to seeing how that works.

Baptist Church to use LightwaveRF Link to control heating.
Mansfield Baptist Church building is heated by 17 air to air heat pumps. The heating has three zones, Chapel, Lounge and Hall. Being a busy place we need to have a control system that can switch each of the zones on and off up to four times each day. We need to be able to programme the heating system for the week. The ability to be able to program the system remotely using IPad or mobile means the times can be modified without have to make a visit to the Church. The control system will comprise of a LightwaveRF Link and three Electric Switches LW934. At present I have the system at home to familiar myself programming it before installing. I will also teach our administrator how to programme it. There is a multitude of instructions and videos all of which makes the learning curve straight forward. The only negative so far is that there is not a workable commercial programming download for Windows 10. On completion of the system I will be looking at other areas within the building that will benefit from the LightwaveRf Link. Terry Revill On behalf of MBC

LightwaveRF link, Lights dimmers and plug-in switches.
This is an excellent , expandable system and a superb way to start into home automation. Everything worked as it should. The product manuals , and especially the manual for the Android app, were not so good, many were for previous versions of the product, and the one for the Android app provided very little useful information. they urgently need updating.

LightwaveRF Link
Despite MS Windows being the most widely used PC platform in the world, LightwaveRF does not work in an usefull sense, with it or the Windows phone platform. Potentially a good product but useless to me and many thousands of other potential customers ! ! Very disappointing

So I can have access to my complete home automation anywhere on the globe where I have wi-fi. Looking at home automation systems people seem to talk £10k to £20k for essentially the same thing, things to get witched on and off remotely via an app....JOB DONE!!

I want to replace existing infra-red remote switching of lights on outbuildings about 20m from the house. The current switches pug into a 13A socket. It looks like your LightwaveRF link connected to Lightwave 2 gang sockets might be what I need. Will that cope with the distance and going through one wall? Rod Nott Devon UK.

BEST ANSWER: the link should work I've used it at around 25m more than that and it would be unreliable.
How can I link this to the lw600 energy sensor the instruction manual for the energy sensor is for the old wifi link?
Mark F. 3 Apr 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The LW600 is the current version of the LightwaveRF Link - it supports all LightwaveRF devices.
where can I get the latest instructions for the new link? those in the app are for the old one, and the help screens are totally unhelpful!

I purchased one of these a few days ago with some switches and heating controls. In the house it seems to work ok, but it will not work remotely over mobile internet. There is no information anywhere regarding and the manuals and videos don`t offer any help at all as they are for older products. The whole reason I bought it was for remote switching over the internet. I am using the Android app and the general feeling of this is that it simply doesn`t work. I`m using a Sky Hub 2 over fibre. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure I'll be able to help but here goes. I'm using the iOS version of the app so I hope it looks more or less the same as the Android version. For the following, make sure you are using the device (phone or tablet) that you wish to use as the remote controller. In the app go to the settings section and tap on the "Lightwave Link Settings". Near the top of the display you should see that your Lightwave Link is registered - it must be if you are able to control stuff from within your house. Scroll down and click the "Request" button where it says "Lightwave Link register Request device authorisation" and follow the instructions to register your phone/tablet. If all goes well your device should now control your stuff when outside the range of your Wifi. If, however, when you click the "Request" button it says "Device already authorised" then I don't know how to help any further (if I even have helped at all). Quite recently, I had a problem with some timers I'd configured. So I contacted support and I must say they were very helpful indeed. Don't know if you've tried that but if I haven't been of any help that would be my next port of call. Good luck!
Is this the new version of lightwaverf wi-fi link?
Guest Visitor 11 Dec 2015
BEST ANSWER: This is the latest LightwaveRF Link, model number JSJSLW930. The old version (JSJSLW500) was discontinued during 2014, since then we have only shipped this new version. Hope this helps.
