Small buttons get stuck
Generally a good little device but the buttons are very small and are slightly recessed making them hard to press even if you have small fingers. The buttons sometime get caught and stick in the down position, if you don't notice this at the time it seems to drain the battery.

It works fine with Vera Edge UI7
Oh joy, a manual that is understandable and set up without a Ph.D in computer sciences! I have 2 of these....the first needed to be reset a couple of times before it all worked....but that was probably me not being sure about what I was doing. The second fob was set up fine first hassle! What's more, the 4 buttons do indeed have 2 functions per button (short press or press and hold)...both work 8 scenes controllable. Looks wise, it's nothing special...but none of these things are. There's a sliding cover to protect the buttons from accidental presses...although that's unlikely as (criticism) the buttons are small and have to be pressed firmly to operate. All a little awkward with large fingers. The battery cover is very tight so a bit of a pain to get off...but then again, once it's on it on! The central shiny strip in the photos is actually chrome metal...which gives some heft and is quite heavy...weighing in at 31 grammes ie about a third of a bar of chocolate. Size is approx 55mm long, 30mm wide and 13mm thick. I could have knocked a star off because of the feel and pressure of the buttons but haven't because that would give the wrong impression of a device that (miraculously) actually worked first time and does what it should! Recommended.

Seems a very good way to control home automation, I do not want to use a smartphone.

Will this work with homeseer?

BEST ANSWER: Yes. Bought it and worked with Homeseer. But I don't use it anymore. Battery dies after 2 days with minimal use which is ridiculous
Does this work with Vera Plus?

BEST ANSWER: This works with VERA Edge, which also runs UI7 firmware. So there is no reason for it to not work in VERA Plus.
