Tough To Get Better
I now use several of these sensors where hard wired motion detection would be "difficult", to compliment existing hard wired detection or to gain more environmental information. They work well. Very well. The initial two are hard wired as I've got those updating constantly to Homeseer feeding back luminance primarily to operate lighting macros, motion as a matter of course and temperature. Setup is about as painless as it gets and a whole heap easier than most, setting parameters almost as simple although some things are a right pain to work out, such as removing the motion downtime between detections. This is not an issue if you don't intend to try to use these as an occupancy sensor of sorts but, if you do it may present an issue. It's one you can solve apparently, I just haven't worked out how yet. Battery life I cannot comment on yet as I've only got one now operating without being permanently hard wired. But that is what it is, if you need to use these on battery power then I'd guess the life will depend, like most, on the level or traffic and reporting. Hard wired, I've been using these for well over a year and they are rock solid, completely reliable. Overall though, bang for buck, the ability to plonk them almost anywhere with ease, the unobtrusive look (they fit into most any room) and the wealth of info and features make these sensors and tough act to beat.

Works well with Hometroller and HS3
The device was immediately recognised by HS3 and all the sensors were made available to use. You can select which sensors you want to receive reports from. I only need the light sensor at the moment and that has been easy to set up and use. Great to find yet another product that works first time straight out of the box.

Aeon Sensor - perfect for the job I needed.
A step change from the previous generation Aeon sensor. This one configured on my Vera Edge straight out of the box for all the sensor functions - very neat and much more simple than the previous model. I will buy more. Note that I haven't yet tested the battery life........

Works best when plugged in vs battery
I have both Aeon and Fibao multi-sensors; Fibaro's look better and I believe are more accurate, but lack humidity sensor. Aeon do work great first time on both my Vera and Fibaro hub. Being so small you can put them anywhere. To get a great update level you need to have them plugged in, otherwise the battery last a short time. By the way, the Fibaro has NO plug-in level. Your imagination will stop before you limits of what you can do with these. If you buy 1 Home Automation Product this has to be in that list.

Z-Wave Aeon Labs Multisensor 6 - Gen5
Works OK with Z-Wave Popp Hub Gateway - Gen5 once a z-wave connection is made which can take for ever or longer. I don't know if it is an Aeon Labs or Popp problem but it is frustrating. Still testing as I don't yet trust the system.

Not as autonomous as the Fibaro version
I bought this to try it out and because I wanted humidity sensors. So far from the look of it, unlike the Fibaro motion detector it does not have the facility to trigger a message to associated devices if motion is detected but only if the light level is below a set amount. This means that you can't set it up to autonomously turn on lights when it detects motion but only if the light level is lower than a set level. So if you set it up to turn on room lights when it detects motion, it will always do this even in daylight. The Fibaro units can be set to disable the PIR in daylight. You can of course set all this up in your house controller although the Vera requires some LUA programming to do even such a simple action as an "If detected but only if..".

Good device but not for Indigo
This device is very good and extremely small but there are two important things to know prior to purchase. The first is that it is not supported if you are using Indigo and the second is it does not come supplied with batteries and they are around £9 each and it takes two.

Working great with Homeseer
Nice little unit, as others have said, it's not quite as attractive as the Fibaro sensors, but does have a humidity sensor and USB Power to make up for it. Adding to homeseer was fairly painless, it included correctly the first time, and only took a bit of fiddling to get the parameters set. In homeseer at least, the motion sensor was disabled by default. The only minor issue I noticed was that the vibration sensor doesn't work, although for me, that's not a problem, since I had no intention of ever using it. As others have commented, there are no batteries included, so unless you're going to use the USB power, you'll need to buy some.

This unit does not come with batteries!
I like the size and shape of this sensor and also thought it would be great as they promote the Longer Battery Life but that is all I can tell you until I go out and spend another 8 on batteries. I think 60 for one sensor is a little much even if it is 6 in 1.

Works well with Vera lite, not with Fibaro HC2
The sensor is very small, although not as small or as elegant as the Fibaro motion sensor. The multisensor 6 would not configure with the Fibaro HC2 running 4.054. I was able to successfully configure using a Vera Lite. Be warned that the unit does not come with batteries so make sure you purchase 2 CR123A batteries.

Bought one to monitor outdoor conditions - I have the gorgeous Fibaro motion sensors throughout indoors, but they're no good for outdoor use. It integrated into my Fibaro Home Centre 2 immediately so buying a second one for my bathroom - the humidity sensor will be useful to control heat/ventilation - and they're pretty good looking too

Only motion sensor I have found that lets me run off the mains which is useful for certain locations, the amount of sensors on this means lots of information sent back and the frequency of the refresh being mains powered means I can have better control in some of my rules

Hi, I had successfully setup 1x MultiSensor 6 (ZW100-C) which required a change of device type. I then purchased 2 more (same model, same firmware) but they have aren't detecting any motion. Is there any advice on how to resolve this? I have tried a number of different DTH, removing and repairing etc and now looking for some help.

Has anyone found an inline invertor ? the idea being to place the sensor in the ceiling with permanent power supply feeding off the mains supply? without having to wire in a mains socket for a three pin plug adaptor for a USB lead?

Will this sensor work with an Aeotec Z-Stick V2 (Version: 1.4-2228-gbce4a88-dirty)?
Guest Visitor 14 Nov 2016
Has anyone figured out how to set the light and humidity thresholds? The manual gives parameter values, sizes and hex/decimal descriptions but setting them don't match and the default values don't match the ones in the manuals, they aren't even close. Trying to set values gives me "Failed to set user settings" in my Vera Edge.

Hi, Will the device perform the same activities when powered by battery as it will when powered by usb? Thanks
JayBuckley 2 Aug 2016
BEST ANSWER: I believe it will yes. Certain information will be sent less often to save on battery use but the settings can be tailored to suit your needs. In theory the device will act as a zwave relay when mains powered but I have no evidence either way.
Am I correct in thinking mounting this to the ceiling gives a 360 degree coverage?
A Shopper 19 Jul 2016
BEST ANSWER: It seems to be omni-directional, in that it doesn't seem to matter which side you place it on when it is placed on its side. As to the angle of the 'cone', it is at least 90 degrees, which means that it should pick-up any movement if the room is tall enough. It may be bigger than that, but I have no means of testing it properly.
Hi, Has anyone used this with the Vera Plus and UI7 (1.7.1786). If so did all of the sensors show up and work as expected? Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: the temperate, UV, light level, motion and humidity all work, but I don't get anything for vibration
Has anyone used the Aeon Labs Multisensor 6 - Gen5 on a VeraLite (UI5 1.5.622)? Did all sensors report correctly?
Guest Visitor 18 Feb 2016
BEST ANSWER: This device will not install on 1.5.622. If you wish to use it on UI5 you must use the final version 1.5.672. This is because it is a Z-Wave Plus (Gen) device and uses different commands when adding to the Z-Wave system. UI5 1.5.672 has those commands available.
Is this MultiSensor 6 in EU Frequency?
Guest Visitor 28 Dec 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, All Z-Wave products that Vesternet sell are European frequency (868.4MHz) - All products show the frequency on the 'Technical' tab on their product page.
Can the sensitivity be set so pets are ignored?
Martin G. 14 Dec 2015
BEST ANSWER: The settings for motion sensitivity can only be changed through your controller though, it's not a physical jumper like some other devices. Make sure your controller supports this product first. If you are a technical user and you know how to send custom configuration settings to your device you can do it that way too. The manual specifies the command class, config setting, values and number of bytes the settings take.
