Z-Wave Fibaro Home Center Lite Compatible

The Domitech ZBulb is an intelligent, fully-dimmable bulb that can be controlled via normal wall switch, Z-Wave controller or even from your smartphone or tablet. The bulb provides comfortable warm white lighting (2700K), equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent bulb using just nine watts of energy. It's estimated that the energy-efficient ZBulb could save you approximately 100£ throughout its average lifespan of 25000 hours (equivalent to 22.8 years based on 3 hrs/day).

The smart bulb from Domitech comes in two socket types: Screw and Bayonet. You can pick the version that's perfect for your home from the above dropdown.

Control Lighting at Your Fingertips

ZBulb is slightly different from other smartphone controlled LED lights. It can be controlled via your smart device, even after it has been turned off by the normal wall switch. The way this works is that the bulb recognises "Off-On-Off-On" on the wall switch as a "toggle". That means you can control your lighting and adjust its brightness, without worrying about whether it has been turned on/off from the wall switch. While the arrangement works with normal "toggle" wall switches, it works much better with a "momentary" wall switch that is wired on the NC side to permanently power the bulb.[Read: How does the Domitech Dimmable LED Bulb work with a wall switch?]

Automate with Scenes and Schedules

Apart from manually controlling your room lighting, the bulb can also be made a part of a defined home automation scene for automatically adjusting the lighting in your home based on external environmental conditions. So, you can now configure your home lighting to mimic the time of the day. The smart bulb is also able to memorize the last dim status, before shutting off, which means it will retain its original configuration even after it has been accidentally turned off or after a power-cut.

Plug-and-Play Installation

Installing Domitech ZBulb is also simple. You just have to plug the bulb into the socket and start controlling it at your fingertips. Unlike standard Z-Wave switches or dimmers, the ZBulb can be used even in two-wire electrical systems.

Z-Wave Plus

The Domitech ZBulb is Z-Wave Plus Certified. Z-Wave Plus (5th Generation Z-Wave) offers a lot of new features including increased range, extended battery life and Over The Air upgrading (OTA). Take a look at our "What is Z-Wave Plus" guide for more information

Great for lamps
Have two of these bulbs and I am really pleased with them. Use them both in room lamps and they are perfect for this but I wouldn't use them for the main light in the room. Simple to add to my Vera lite controller (Ui7) and function flawlessly, dimmable from 100% down to zero.

An excellent lamp.
An excellent lamp. Pleasant, warm light, dimmable. With VeraEdge works. The switch for her is evil. It is better to hide it far away, so that the home does not knock down the settings, or not at all. Remote management, with controller or associations.

Good Price and brighter than expected
Knowing a lot of other LED type bulbs, one is much brighter than I expected. I have a VeraPlus and setup was really quick and easy and seems to be stable. Only two down sides. Why playing around with the light switch I reset them and lost connection to the VeraPlus. This is way too easy to do by mistake or if you have kinds who like flicking switches. However my bigger problems is that my electricity in my village is not that great and flickers from time to time. These bulbs react to this and turn on. I've only had them 4 day's so far and 2 nights they have turned on in my bedroom at around 3am. I've changed settings which will remember last dim setting so it's no 100% each time however it's still turns on. I've open a ticket with the vendor for a solution as if this continues I will need to use them elsewhere.... Despite this I think most people may not have the same issue depending on your reliability of your electricity board and they are not bad value for what they offer.

Works well but can't find a switch to control it
I have this bulb working with HomeSeer, Included straight away and works well with the system. Its responsive and has a decent light off it too. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is I can't find a normally closed reactive light switch to control as described in the instructions.

Easy to Setup, But one Failed
Easy to setup Works with Fibaro One failed within first month, I expect it to last longer (especially considering the advertised expected longevity)

Works well with Homeseer
Ordered one of these to try on Homeseer, I use a usb USB interface for HS3 PRO. Anyway popped hs3 zwave into include mode, turned on the bulb and it's on the system as a new device straight away. Homessed is dimming this just like it did with the old x10 module. However the bayonet base on the bulb is a little wider than that of a standard bulb, I had to trim a little bit of plastic from the fitting in my standard lamp in order to get it to fit correctly. So far so good, may come back for another if this behaves it's self. Cheers

Excellent product, especially considering the price
This bulb paired with my z-stick2 and works fine with Open Zwave, even though it's only recognised as a generic dimmer. The light is good and bright, without being too white. I would have guessed at it being more than a 60W equivalent. The only gripe I have in the manual switching on and off is a bit clunky. I managed to accidentally exclude it from the z-wave network while trying to work out manual on/off switching.

Works well with vera ui7 but very yellow light
Pleased that this works well and have easily set up several scenes with it but light emitted really is a very warm yellow. I.e evening sun colour, so its ok for a small lamp but not white enough for wider use around the house. Better than it being too harsh a light/ blue but it would be good if there was a light bulb at this price point with a slightly higher k available.

Excellent Quality and Connectivity
I was a little skeptical of this bulb because I don't own any other Domitech devices but I purchased four to see if they were any good. They work REALLY well, have a really nice bright yellow colour to them that is very homely rather than a harsh cold white. They are brighter than I expected too, putting our CFL energy saving bulbs they replaced to shame. In terms of Z-Wave connectivity and control they are really very good. The bulbs connect quickly to the controller even if they've been switched off for days and haven't been used. As soon as you switch them on, they connect to the controller and are accessible for commands. Their lowest dim setting is not as low as I would have expected but it is acceptable. They respond really fast to Z-Wave commands as well, instantly switching on as soon as I walk into the room (with my motion sensor controlling them). I am going to order another eight to replace all remaining CFL bulbs in my house.

Good bulb for the price
Minimum dim level could be lower, no complaints other than that.

Does anyone know what the power draw is when the light is off please?
Mark L. 8 Dec 2017
Has anyone experienced these bulbs turning on by themselves during the night? I have 2 on separate circuits but occasionally I find them both on when I get up during the night or in the morning.

Is the screw-fit white or yellow colored?
Tuncay S. 16 Jul 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Domitech LEDs are a warm white colour (so slightly yellow), colour temp is 2700K which is the standard temperature for 'warm' LEDs.
Can I use it oudoor?
Steven D. 25 Jun 2016
BEST ANSWER: These should be fine outdoors - the same for all LEDs. I'd expect them to work down to around -10C.
Does this bulb act as a zwave repeater?

Does this bulb been tested with smartthings hub as controller?
Guest Visitor 16 Mar 2016
BEST ANSWER: These are standard Z-Wave devices so should work in SmartThings with no issue. However, you would need to check with SmartThings to confirm compatibility. As we understand it, ST needs a device handler for each device. In theory standard Z-Wave devices will include correctly into ST, but unless there is a Device Handler for a device you may not be able to use all its functions, or change configuration settings. Generally, these Device Handlers are created by ST or the ST community and made available from within the Smartapps area. ST has a European compatibility list, but this doesn't yet have new products added to it - As we get more information from customers about which device work with ST we will also update our own Z-Wave Compatibility Guide - Hope this helps.
Does this product pair and work with the Piper NV?
Guest Visitor 10 Mar 2016
BEST ANSWER: In theory yes it should as it is seen by the Z-Wave system as a multi-level Z-Wave device (dimmer). But we know Piper has poor support for Z-Wave devices other than their own, so you would need to test this to be sure.
I have a hybrid Vera/Lightwave system. Can these bulbs be dimmed from a light switch? I've tried Hue & Nanoleaf and neither can be dimmed from the switch
Guest Visitor 8 Mar 2016
BEST ANSWER: These cannot be used with a mains dimmer. Using a dimmer will change the voltage and current on the bulb and therefore will not function correctly. These bulbs (like Hue) need to have full mains voltage at all times so the wireless section will work. You are best to use a Z-Wave wireless switch such as Nodon to control them wirelessly via Z-Wave - this works very well.
Is this an E-27 size bulb fitting?
Guest Visitor 13 Jan 2016
BEST ANSWER: Strange that was left off the description, we'll update that today. These bulbs are available in E27 and B22 fittings.
