Reliable and does the job well!
I have been using these for about 2 years and have never let me down. Used these for allsorts of projects across the home and when hooked up to the Fibaro HC2, just work awesomely and feature full:) I have used these for controlling decking lights, creating an LED mirror, down lighting, up lighting, lighting under cabinets, fire alarm strobe and lots lots more. Highly recommended!

This is a great device for controlling the RGB strips. Couple it with the appropriate LED driver and automation hub. I happened to have a Fibaro Hub but I know from experience that it plays "nice" with others.

does exactly what it says on the tin, works effortlessly with vera, though would be handy for some of the app developers to have a simple colour pad to set rather than a red green blue - white fader.

Another Amazing Product From FIBARO
FIBARO are on a roll as one of the most innovative and creative home automation companies around. Their RGBW controller module sums this up nicely. Its an excellent device which was easy to connect to RGB/W LED strip lighting. The module turned out to be equally easy to setup. This controller works very well with Homeseer HS3, which gives you individual sliders for RGB as well as a colour picker to choose exactly the colour you want. Excellent ! Be careful when you buy LED tape, as it comes as common anode or common cathode. Get the wrong one and it will fail badly....

Bought as a bit of an experiment but it is a superb device. Added a £19 LED RGBW light strip from Amazon and output from the motion detectors scattered around to light the stairs when required, kitchen cupboards and around the bed for gentle night lighting and alerts! Very easy to set-up and operate. I've got two of the Fibaro Dimmer 2 modules also waiting to be installed.

If wiring is a star topology, than four rooms can be controlled (assuming <25W per room leds); DC dimming is flicker-free compared to Mains dimming.

BEST ANSWER: Not that Fibaro have told us. But as all the other modules have now moved to Z-Wave Plus, I would expect on in the near future - we just don't have any time-lines from Fibaro.
I have a triple switch in one of my rooms, 1 switch controls one ceiling light, 1 switch another ceiling light and the 3rd switch does 2 wall lights. I want them all controllable via z-wave (to dim individually etc..) Instead of using 3 fibaro dimmer 2's somehow in the backbox of the triple switch, can i use one of these RGBW devices?

BEST ANSWER: Just to clarify, as one of the responses said you could use this in a mains voltage circuit. This is absolutely not the case. You cannot use the RGBW controller in a mains voltage system. It is used in 12 or 24VDC systems to directly drive LED strips. It cannot be used in mains (230V AC) systems. In your application you would need 3x Fibaro Dimmer 2 as these are mains dimmers.

BEST ANSWER: Very easy! Standard Z-Wave include into the network & away. Samsung brings in all the colour fade themes as well as named single fixed colours. Works without any issues for me - got 2 on the network.
HI, I am little confused by the description on this device. When it says it has four output channels, does this mean I can control four separate sets of led strips from one controller separately e.g. one in the kitchen, one in the bedroom, one in the lounge and one in the bathroom or does it mean it can control four separate colours on a single strip of lights e.g. red, green blue and white? Also when it says that it has four analogue sensors (and the manual mentions these being connected to push button switches) are these directly linked to the led strip operation only or can I use these for other things such as scenes, e.g. have one connected to a push button door bell and make this set off a chime via a scene of some sort? With my Fibaro PIR sensor connected to my Vera Edge, it shows up as four different sensors, PIR, LUX, Vibration and temp. How many does this show up as? Am I expecting too much from this sensor or is this the multi god like sensor that the bumf seems to advertise? thanks Jon

BEST ANSWER: The Fibaro RGBW is a pretty flexible device, you can use it to control a single run of RGB LED strip, a single run of RGBW LED strip or up to 4 channels individually - this could be 4 runs of single colour LED strip or 4 runs of 12V LEDs / Halogens. The 4 inputs can directly control the outputs, or can be used as inputs in their own right (with nothing connected to the outputs) which can then control other devices using Association or trigger scenes in your Z-Wave controller. Note that you can't use the inputs and outputs, it's 4 of each or a combination - but 4 in total. Advanced features such as being able to use Analog sensors are only available with a Fibaro Z-Wave controller. In Vera the 4 channels show as dimmer controls, with an overall master channel. I believe that there is also an RGBW plugin that can give you a colour picker type control. Hope that helps!

BEST ANSWER: search ebay for 12V-24V-5V-Universal-Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-for-LED-Strip-CCTV-UK I just use one of these for mine and seems to work fine, but you need to work out how long your run is and which exact lights you plan to use as they all have different power requirements. if you just need to test with a small run then i find an old router 12v, 1.5Amp works great and will run about 5m or RGB cable. the main problem is all RGBW strips are different so in order to be safe, buy a high rated one, test what its pulling with a multimeter inline and then purchase exactly what you need.
I wish to control 24M of RGB strips with a total of 14.4 amps. 1M of 150LED strip consumes 7.2W (0.6A). I have a 12V 200W power supply but unsure if I need 1 or 2 Fibaro RGBW devices to manage this type of load?

BEST ANSWER: Hi Mike, You would need to split that over two or more RGBW modules. Each module can handle up to 12A for the device as a whole, each channel can handle up to 6A individually up to the 12A combined maximum. Hope this helps.
Can I use it to control cct panels? I have 6 of 30w each 24v.

BEST ANSWER: Hi Daniel, I don't see why not. I have two of these currently wired into IKEA RGB Strips and they work great. Your total wattage of 180W @ 24VDC is less than the maximum load of the Fibaro RGBW Controller (288W @ 24VDC). So its just a case of taking the individual channel cables from each CCT panels and bringing them together for the controller. I recommend you bunch all the Reds, Blues, Greens etc in a terminal block then run a single cable out to the controller as this will minimise wiring issues as the Fibaro RGBW Controller Terminals are small. Your total current 7.5A @ 24VDC spread across all channels so ensure you size your conductors accordingly and fuse them if possible with glass fuses (5mmx20mm).

Hi, can this RGBW controller be installed and used just by itself, or do I need a central controller/hub to do the work and talk to the other devices like a wall switch or potentiometer?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, We strongly recommend you use this module with a Z-Wave central controller (hub). It has a lot of configuration options to enable it to work in the different modes, you can only do this via a controller. I'd suggest looking at either the VERA or the Fibaro Home Center controllers.
