The Heatit Z-Wave thermostat allows you to wirelessly control your electric underfloor heating. It is a wall-mounted thermostat that can control underfloor heating of up to 16A and work within a Z-Wave home automation system such as Fibaro, Vera, Zipato and many more.

The thermostat's LCD will display ambient temperature, either in the room or in the floor. The thermostat is equipped with sensitive cap sense buttons - by lightly pressing the buttons, the display will show the setpoint value.

Heatit Z-Wave includes a single-pole switch capable of handling loads up to 16A/3600W at 230V. It can be used with two external temperature sensors.

Works well
This unit associated easily and works well with my VeraEdge Controller. I have installed three of them, two with electric underfloor heating and one with an old night storage heater I am now using as a 'normal' heater. The units work very well, the heuristics are well set by default and it maintains a steady temperature. Four stars only, the unit does not report power consumption or accumulated power consumption.

Works fine with EEDOMUS
Does the job well except the temperature sensor seems to have some miss measurement from time to time.

Works fine with Aeon Labs Z-Stick Gen 5
Excellent product, but does not come cheap. I have had issues originally to run it in Domoticz, but I have overcome these. No config file in OZW unfortunately. Unfortunately, this is the only available product in the European market for underfloor / ceiling heating.

Underfloor Bathroom electric Heating
Always looking for a solution for a long time. This works as planned and I control it with Vera2. Highly recommend for controlling underfloor heating. Only credible solution after years of looking hence 5 stars.

It works with latest AEON STICK GEN 5, not mine.
Link here, last comment from mattmarsden on 6th August: http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?p=1170624 I have the AEON STCIK S2 and doesn't work.

not working with AEON STICK S2 :-S
How this is possible, I spend 180 euros and now I realize that this doesn't work with the USB stick... I'm planning to return it and buy another one similar. This was doing all what I expected in Zwave... not Wifi, wifi eats too much electricity to put one of those in each room.

Doesn't work with Aeon Z Stick S2
I bought this and it won't pair with my Aeon Z Stick S2 so unfortunatly as a home automation product is next to useless to me. That being said it looks very nice and the controls are nice. If (like me) you've seen other screenshots on the internet with a black screen rest assured it comes with a white screen.

Don't buy if you have Aeon Labs USB Controller
This thermostat looks good and the screen is white (I've seen some screenshots on the internet showing the white thermostat with a black screen). However it just won't pair with my Aeon Labs ZStick S2 both devices just sit and timeout - tried multiple times with latest firmware.

The customer already had underfloor heating in place and these were the only product that seemed available to provide remote access.

Only Mains switching thermostat with a screen that is available. The device is actually clunky, unintuitive, and waaaay overpriced, but it's what's on the market.

The thermostat shows er4, what does it mean?

Can this replace a Devireg 550 unit without having to replace the existing NTC sensor?
Mat H. 24 Aug 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, that's exactly what I did. You just need to figure out what resistance the NTC is. You can then configure the HeatIt to use that resistance. Do bear in mind that you need to run this with a Z-Wave controller (I'm using Smartthings), since there are almost no onboard controls.
Is it possible to use this device to control ceiling heating (replacing an ESWA thermostat)?
Richard 9 Jul 2016
BEST ANSWER: As long as the ceiling heating is controlled by 230V mains then yes. This thermostat does not have a dry contact, it has mains voltage on its output.
Today I got a message in the display of my Heatit thermostat that I assume is some kind of error message. The display shows an upside-doen "F" with a minus sign "-" Before and one after. Anyone else who has seen this message? I didn't find anything in the manual. Can someone tell me what the probelm is? Anders

How does the thermostate operate if set to Air+Floor sensor mode? My guess is that the following sceem is applied: 1. Regulate the underfloor heating Cable to keep the ambient air tempature to the set value. 2. If the floor temperature exceeds the maximum allowed floor temperature (FHI) the heating will be turned off irrespectiv of the ambient air temperature. 3. If the floor temperature goes below minimum allowed floor temeprature (FLO) the heating will be turned on irrespective of the ambient air temperature. Are these assumptions correct? I havn't been able to read it out from the manual. Anders
Anders T. 24 Mar 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes your assumptions are correct.
What is the Pilot Wire terminal and does it have to be connected? Both my current thermostats don't have it.
Chris P. 25 Jan 2016
BEST ANSWER: The pilot wire terminal is for connected a remote "override" switch that allows you to switch between thermostat modes. It's an optional connection, so you don't need to use it if you don't want to. Hope that helps!
Hi, Does this relay has a bult-in air temperature sensor or do I have to buy the sensor separately? Thanks Alex
14 Jan 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it has an built in temperature sensor and is supplied with an floor probe (cable with an sensor on the end) in addition as well. I've not used the floor probe yet as the built in sensor works well enough for me (it was a little bit of by default but you can configure an offset if you want it spot on).
Hello! 1) Is the floor sensor included in the package? 2) For Z-Wave integration of my water heated floor if I run a direct cable between Heatit and Actuator do I steel need the Fibaro Relay or I can use the Heatit to control the actuators directly? On what voltage should the actuator work: 12/24V or 240V? 3) If answer for no.2 is yes, then can I control multiple actuators at once feeding the same zone / room (wired in parallel)? 4) I see in the Heatit manual that it can display both Air and Floor temperature in AF mode. This means that on the Thermostat screen I will see both values (rotated)? How about in Fibaro HC2, will it display both values and able to change them based on scenarios or instant mode? 5) Can I set individually max temp for Floor and for Air? Thank you!
Sergiu 13 Oct 2015
BEST ANSWER: OK... some thinking required here =) As a background, I purchased two of these, each to act as a master thermostat for each UFH manifold. 1) yes. But for a wet system, using it is not typical. Your goal is a specific air temp. Electric systems usually have a floor sensor to (I assume) act as an upper threshold limit..e.g. to prevent overheating. 2) It's 240v. UFH systems typically have 240V acuators... but LV ones are on the market. You have to research the make/model of your actuators. What about your central UFH controller - the actuators are usually routed through it so the boiler, valve and pumps are switched on as well. Controlling the actuators directly is a bit of a hack... but interesting idea! 3) Parallel would work. But again, you would normally bridge zones in your central controller. 4/5) I only use the air sensor, so I don't know.
