Z-Wave Vision Deadbolt Door Lock with Handle

Overview Shipping Returns Support

Need advice? More information?

The Vision ZM1702 wireless deadbolt door lock is ideal for home or office installation.

It supports up to 13 unique user access codes and also supports additional temporary access codes for specific times of day, days of the week or for specific periods of time. This is really useful if, for instance, you have workmen visiting who will need temporary access while you are away.

The door lock can be operated using the keypad or remotely from an alarm panel, PC, smartphone or even via the Internet.

For additional security, all access attempts, whether successful or not, are logged by the PC.

The ZM1702 fits all conventional doors, so long as they are at least 38mm, and can be installed with the handle left or right hand facing. It is battery operated and requires no additional wiring.

Although the ZM1702 can be installed as a stand-alone door lock it is best used as part of a Z-Wave network installation. Take a look at the Z-Wave Vera controller.

Not worth to buy
The lock is not standard design and I failed to operate it within Fibaro HC2. I't is useless for me. The manual which comes with the lock didn't include how to put your personnel code. No template included for this lock bu Fibaro. So it is not fully compatible with Z-Wave system. Not recommended at all. Note : I have three of this lock and I'm ready to sell if some one interested.

very poor design and untested
The lock arrived and I was surprised to find it can with a none standard motorised mortice dead bolt and latch. The manufactures state the batteries will last 2 years. I tested the unit by opening the lock 5 time a day it failed after 10 days. The power drain was to great from the motor. The best advice the manufacture could offer was to put better batteries in. This lock had not been fully tested and should not be purchased unless you have a stock of batteries and time to change them.

Not a commercial product
Spent two days trying make this lock work with VeraEdge controller without any luck. It woul not unlock consistently from commands made by the controller, it received pin codes in consistently, and there was apparently no way to lock the lock on exit other than using the controller. I wanted to use this to secure a remote apartment we rent out occasionally as it offers a pin pad and the ability to remotely assign new codes with limited access times. But I am so unimpressed with it that even if I could get it to work it was so unreliable I feel it would be a liability and necessitate countless trips to resolve problems. I have left keys with the neighbours instead!

Is the door lock weatherproof, could it be used on a garden gate ?
Craig W. 20 Jun 2016
BEST ANSWER: As far as I know this would not be suitable for a gate. The Keypad side of the lock is designed to be mounted outside, so that is waterproof. But the other section that mounts internally is not designed to be outdoors. Hope this makes sense.
How to use/program this ZM 1702 lock ... with what Z wave Controllers???? Obviously Fibaro does not work, but what does???
Guest Visitor 12 Jun 2016
BEST ANSWER: This lock as well as the Yale locks work well in the VERA controllers. This is because VERA has very good support for locks.
Why have you not added the important caveat in this Vision ZM 1702 description that it does not work with Fibaro system?
Guest Visitor 12 Jun 2016
BEST ANSWER: The limitation of this lock not fully working is shown in our Z-Wave Compatibility Guide - We believe using v4 firmware on the HC2 you can get limited control of locks, this is not a limitation of Vision but all locks. The HC2/HCL only allow you to open/close locks but not to set PIN numbers, or user access rights.
Hello, I have a Vision door lock ZM1702 and I am not able to include it in a Fibaro homa automation, with HC2. I've followed the steps, and kept HC2 close to the door lock but nothing happened. Can you please advice?

BEST ANSWER: It is best to contact our technical support for issues on products you have purchased from us -
I can't configure it with fibaro home center 2 can't add pin or all it's features only open and close it how to solve it ?
Tarek Salem 27 Jan 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm afraid that is due to limitations in the Fibaro firmware. They have not added full support for locks. The current releases only allow you to control the lock (open/close), but you cannot change PINs or configure user access etc. It is best to contact Fibaro to confirm when they will add these extra features into v4.xx firmware.
What type of blank keys are used? Can you provide them? 2 from 3 keys were lost, and all of local keymakers say that it require very rare blank key which they don't have
Aleksey V. 30 Sep 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, this is the first time we've had this type of request. We don't have access to getting the blank keys - they are shipped as a full kit with the locks from Vision.
You mention 'conventional doors' does that include uPvc doors with multipoint locks?
JohnS 8 Sep 2015
BEST ANSWER: This does not work with multi-point locks. However, we are testing another Z-Wave lock that will work with these types of systems. These will be available on our site by the end of September.
