low batterirs supplied - inclusion nightmare
a shame that almost dead batteries included. almost gave up including after trying vera and razberry. accidentally found a post suspecting batteries. inserted new pair and voila - inclusion done. also good luck decrypting the led beeps on the microscopic fonts in the manual. just a bad startup experience - hope the product will turn out to be useful.

Avoid at all costs with HomeSeer
This is not a z wave friendly device with non zipabox stuff unfortunately. If buying for HS3 be sure to search HomeSeer forms for further information.

Works a treat out of the box - Wish the buttons were Red and Greed for Away and Home.
Once you work out the template to use is the WinTop RFID unit is works with Vera UI7 out of the box.

Exactly what I wanted. Good quality
I bought this to be the front end on my vera controlled alarm system. This was very easy to set up on my vera edge and the buttons directly control UI7's home/away modes so there was no need to write lup code etc. The buttons are also usable as scene triggers so I've used the away(lock) function to set my tv etc off on my Harmony remote. Looks good, built well so happy to have this on display in my porch.

Could this RFID keypad be used with NFC mobile phones ?
Simon R. 15 Aug 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Simon, I'm not sure, I could never get it to work with a Fibaro HC2, Domoticz or HomeGenie properly. It may have better support by now but mine broke after way too many includes/excludes. Looked to me like it would only work with their controller. :-(
can this be used with a hauupauge zipato box?
snap mac 4 Jan 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Hauupage controller uses the standard Zipato firmware, so there should be no problem in using the Zipato RFID Keypad in that environment.
Is there an event that fires in Vera UI7 at the START of the Triggered Alarm countdown?
Ian B. 3 Jan 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can use the command lock set from the keypad device to give instant feedback before the countdown to the away finishes. This gives instant indication of setting away. Also in Vera you can reduce the 30 second count down as low as a second if needed
Is there an event that fires in Vera UI7 at the START of the Set Alarm countdown?
Ian B. 3 Jan 2016

Has anybody got the Zipabox RFID Keypad's buzzer to work with Vera Edge, and how?
Ian B. 3 Jan 2016
BEST ANSWER: Added the device as an "Other Device: Other ZWave Device" and it was added with no problem as a "Security Keypad" with ability to add pin codes and badges, There seems to be some functionality that is unsupported such as having valid and invalid periods associated with pin codes and badges, but this is not a major problem. Additional Zipato badges register fine with the keypad. You do have to wake up the keypad by clicking any button on it before adding pin codes or badges via a combination of the Vera web interface and the keypad. To change the house mode, click either the "Home" or "Away" button, and then enter a pin code or swipe a badge immediately afterwards. The devices uses the "How much time to wait before changing mode?" setting in the "My Modes" section (available from Dashboard) when changing mode. "Home" mode is instantaneous, but "Away" mode uses the configured number of seconds. By setting the relevant sensors to "Arm" in the "My Modes" section for Home and Away modes, you active or deactivate the various sensors. Personally, I am using rules using the "Program Logic" app to trigger a silent alarm for a short period of time when a sensor is tripped under "Away" mode. If the "Home" button on the Keypad is not clicked and a pin code entered or a badge swiped before the silent alarm period is over, then a siren will be triggered. The siren can be cancelled by pressing the "Home" button and swiping a badge or entering a pin code. Works very well - very satisfied.
