On Fibaro's website for this product it shows it being able to be installed in audio equipment but there are no references to that type of setup in the manual or instructions. Has anyone tried to use the implant in any appliance to make it smart? If so I assume the compatibility will be based on the appliance and the internal wiring if it can be done. View answer

Hello Could I use this connected to the 12v bell output (I.e. the +and- terminals) in my house intruder alarm to tell my Samsung SmartThings box that the siren is ringing? This would be a remote alert as lightening frazzled the built-in comms dialler! It’s not clear to me from the manual that I could put the 12v through to say “it’s ringing” and “stopped ringing” when it’s 0v. I am also not clear on whether I will be able to configure it with ST (I don’t have the Fibaro control system), or not. Thank you in advance. Neil

I will be building a new house starting in a few months time and I want to implant temperature sensors in the concrete slab. I have 2 questions; firstly in the manual it says this can be burried concrete with the right protection, what would that protection be please?? I wish to use this to wirelessly (zwave) control my Danfoss thermostats (also Zwave). Can you confirm that this devise is able to do so? And, I wonder if the fan-controller can be used to automatically turn on a fan for heat-moving near the fireplace? Say, if it is 23 degree it should automatically turn on the vent. But if it is too noisy or so, I can turn down the speed? Its hard to find the exact details on this product and MCO does not reply on their website... Thanks! View answer

Do these use the same motion sensor as Aeotec's Multisensor with motion, UV, humidity, vibration, temperature and lux? I'm hoping they don't as the motion sensor in the Aeotec 6-way multisensor is very poor, I have about 5-6 of them and even on the highest setting they often don't detect me even if I walk right up to them and jump around.

I am using the Fibaro Dimmer 2 to control the main lights in my lounge on S1, and to control the lamps by association in Group 5 which are connected to wall dimmers using S2. I have managed to get it all working, but I would like to connect more than one lamp. I have tried to add a second association but it never seems to stick. I have attempted this with OpenHAB, my main server, and with Domoticz control centre. Can you tell me whether this is possible? From the limited documentation I can find, and my experience with associating other devices, I believe it should be.

I am looking for a capacitive mono-stable wall switch to be used with a z-wave dimmer module. I'm struggling to find ones which will work as desired as most will not register a long press/hold – instead, they always accept touch as a momentary on/off. What I would like is for it to mimic a mono-stable switch (bell-push) i.e. touch once for on/off and hold for dim up/down, which I know can be set by the Fibaro parameters – but I can't find a capacitive plate wall plate that does this. Note, ideally I'm looking a double switch.
