I will be building a new house starting in a few months time and I want to implant temperature sensors in the concrete slab. I have 2 questions; firstly in the manual it says this can be burried concrete with the right protection, what would that protection be please?? Secondly, what would you recommend for protecting the string of temp tensors so they can be safely buried in the concrete and what cable would you connect them with ?? Thanks Chris

Hello Could I use this connected to the 12v bell output (I.e. the +and- terminals) in my house intruder alarm to tell my Samsung SmartThings box that the siren is ringing? This would be a remote alert as lightening frazzled the built-in comms dialler! It’s not clear to me from the manual that I could put the 12v through to say “it’s ringing” and “stopped ringing” when it’s 0v. I am also not clear on whether I will be able to configure it with ST (I don’t have the Fibaro control system), or not. Thank you in advance. Neil

This appears to be a re-incarnation of the Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor which will not now recognise DS18B20 inputs although it used to do so. Is this unit any the more reliable?

On Fibaro's website for this product it shows it being able to be installed in audio equipment but there are no references to that type of setup in the manual or instructions. Has anyone tried to use the implant in any appliance to make it smart? If so I assume the compatibility will be based on the appliance and the internal wiring if it can be done. View answer

I bought one of these earlier in the year, am hoping to use to add functionality to an automatic gate opener. I've struggled to get it added into Homeseer correctly, only Output 1 has shown up. Have any Homeseer users had any success getting both outputs to add correctly? If so, any tips? View answer
