This compact radio module replaces the traditional switch and offers two potential-free outputs, providing convenient control and automation options for your smart home

Designed for use within a multi-protocol smart home hub, the module ensures compatibility with other smart devices in your network, enhancing the overall functionality of your smart home setup.

With the Fibaro Double Smart Module, you can integrate existing electrical installations (e.g. lighting, airing systems…) into a Z-Wave network.

Thus, the connected devices can still be controlled with the existing wall switch, but – thanks to Z-Wave – also via remote control, smartphone, or sensor-controlled automation.

The compact radio module is placed in a wall box right behind the normal switch. The switch is no longer directly connected to the loads but acts as an input device for the FIBARO insert that is controlling the loads. The switch only sends a control signal to the insert which controls the loads then again. The solution works with all switch design. You can use a momentary or a toggle switch. It’s recommended to use wall boxes with 65mm depth. But smaller boxes with only 45mm depth can be used also if there is enough space behind the switch. The available space depends on the size of the traditional switch, the dimensions of the wall box, and the amount of additional cabling placed in this box.

Double Switch 2 is equipped with sockets that have an increased cross-section which allows you to connect it to wires with a larger diameter and simplify the installation process.

User-friendly Configuration Menu

A built-in RGB diode is of invaluable assistance during the installation process. The light will show whether Double Switch 2 has been added or removed from the network. You can also see whether a calibration or an update was successful.

A Stronger Signal

Double Switch 2 has an increased signal range which gives you more installation possibilities and an increased network coverage.

Easy to Mount

Just place the module in the junction box and connect it to an existing installation. The module's miniature size allows you to place it in many convenient spots.

Scene Management

Even the most complex actions can be activated via a wall switch connected to a module. With just a press of the button when entering a room, it’s as natural as turning on the lights.

Smart Notifications

Double Switch 2 features many safety measures that prevent it from voltage drop, overheating, or overcharging. In the case of any of these events, the system will immediately send you a notification.

Double Switch 2 allows you to monitor electrical devices that are currently inactive. The system will notify you if you leave a device running and allow you to turn it off remotely.
