Z-Wave Fibaro Walli Switch

Easy to setup. Looks awesome!

Much easier to install than the standalone dimmer switch + separate paddles; but the switch itself is quite plasticky.

The delivery and all was great from the vendor. However, the entire housing of the product is so terrible. It works well when you remove the square cover and place the circle button over. But when you try it on with all 3, the bottom click does not take place. This is the second item from this brand but I ordered from a different vendor while the other was being returned to the other vendor. So I’m pretty sure it’s the product that’s of poor build and not the supply from the vendor.

This is my 2nd purchase of Walli’s, they are proving great, the always on customisable backlight ring is perfect for the kids room, its dimmable to the point of OFF so its not too bright at night, fitting is relatively easy too.

Fitted the Walli Switch in to my daughters bedroom, took a bit of fiddling to get to to fit into a UK back box but not too much trouble........ running 2 items from it, Ceiling light from the top switch and a desk lamp from the bottom switch. Also love the colour customisation and that it can stay illuminated while switched off

i faced problems fixing it on standard UK wall box, I think it is designed for the round European wall boxes. if any of the screws is a little bit tighter than the others, the button will not click properly

I've been struggling to find a nice looking Z-Wave dimmer for a while and most of the time I find one it's only 3 wire and not 2. Personally I'm not keen on the large round button and it actually looks really odd when you pull it out of the box however it does look much better once fitted to the wall. The big button just feels too big and flimsy to be a light switch but you do soon get used to it. There is supposed to be different face plates available which one of them I really like the look of but you just cannot find them ANYWHERE.... The videos of this product from the vendor sells the fact that you can change the colour of the ring around the switch to any colour you like. This is not true from what I could find out. Instead there is a pre-set list of colours you can choose from for when the light is on or off. Default is white when on and no colour when off. I change to green for off for now but may play around with it more later. I did not find any way to just send a specific colour and if you want to use it for a notice message of some sort you would need to check first if it's on or off and then set the colour for that status (or just set both at the same time) Right now I'm struggling to get it to work correctly on 2 wire system with a normal light bulb. It fails to work correctly above 60% so I have had to modify the config to only allow 60% max output for the time being. Until I understand why this is the case I'm concerned in purchasing more especially as they are quite expensive. My guess is if you can do 3 wire I think it would be more stable but I am unable to test this at present. If I can get this fixed and also find the alternative face plate I would be tempted to change all the switches in the house but I shall stick with just the one for the time being.
