Number of events / options that you can configure are relatively very few, its a fancy device not viable at the cost and purpose. Aeotec wall quad is a better alternative.

I was surprised at how well this worked. Specifically I was surprised that it worked just like the promo video. I bought mine off a friend who bought it from vesternet (he's moved onto something else that doesn't support it) First thing I did was disassemble it! If you run it off a mains you can remove most of the bulk which seems to house the battery electronics. I then ran some tests putting it behind various items and was blown away with the results. It's now fixed under media unit with various gestures setup. It's completely out of sight and works brilliantly. You can add the device using swipe or the include button. Most reviews on the net suggest swipe is problematic but once I figured out the menu, it works perfectly. Entering the swipe menu is achieved by holding your hand over the device until you hear three audible beeps. The instructions then talk about the different sub menus represented by either a single, double or treble beep. In reality, t hey're more like clicks and a swipe upwards confirms your selection. I figured this out when I accidently reset the device to factory settings. I set it up again using swipe to include it and it worked fine. A great product with so many cool applications, especially if you can power it from the mains. Highly recommended.

I have been an avid Fibaro user for the last couple of years, and have been pleased with every product (Except this one)... The motion sensor is very temperamental, and does not respond as I would have expected from Fibaro.

Z-Wave Fibaro Swipe

This actually turned out to be better than I expected. Easy to setup and control with HC2. Except for the circular movements (which I'm still to find how to properly get them to work) all other movements work flawlessly. I tested it behind a 3cm thick wooden door and as advertised it recognizes movements through it. That's something I never expected to work. I gave it 4 stars because of the circular movements issue and also because I particularly hate the stand. The frame sits on top of the stand (it's not attached) and a small bump on the frame will move it out of the stand. I believe the circular movements can be fixed through a firmware update but the stand can't. Another thing that might annoy a bit is that movements are only sensed near the frame so if you're doing like in the video where you walk and wave you'll have to do it very close to the frame and be as precise as possible not to hit it with your hand. I understand this is a safety feature - one wouldn't want it to sense every movement you do around the house - but a bit further would make it perfect. Other than these 3 minor annoyances it's really something amazing to have and again, better than I hoped. A smaller size version would also be perfect for some installations (especially inside cabinets or other places) but that may be more technically challenged.

Z-Wave Fibaro Swipe

Just added this a day ago to my HC2. It looks cool, though the back is rather bulbous making wall mounting (without a insert) difficult. Adding the device to HC2 had me flummoxed for a while as you remove your hand and then put it back and swipe up, the instructions were not dramatically clear. Once added I tried with it plug in on a countertop but found it made the movements of your hand limited. I then mounted it on the wall above my Nexus 7 (existing control tablet - always on) with 'no nails tape'. Once in position here the result is awesome. I very easily programmed (drag and drop) it to 1. Turn on 2 RGBW strips & one side lamp (which is my fav lighting setup in Kitchen - living room). 2. Turn on all downstairs lights (for the cleaner, looking for something etc). 3. Raise and lower rear blinds (2 blind units). It might seem a bit gimmicky but actually running scenes this way is much quicker than clicking on the screen icons. It seems accurate and I have been surprised how well its read my hands. Is it worth the money, well thats down to you. Personally yes as I love tech and it's actually performing a useful task for lazy old me.
