AEOTEC Z STOCK GEN5 + is een Z-Wave USB-dongle.

Wanneer bij een hostprocessor is bevestigd, wordt het een Z-Wave Communication-apparaat, dat de Zensys API (Serialapi) blootlegt via geïntegreerde USB. Dit apparaat wordt voornamelijk bedoeld om een hostprocessor toe te staan om maximaal 232 Z-Wave-apparaten te besturen met behulp van het Z-WAVE-technologieprotocol, alle tijdvereenvoudiging van de installatie van het Z-Wave-netwerk.

De Z-stick Gen5 is gemakkelijk te upgraden door de eindgebruiker zodanig dat de nieuwste Z-Wave-protocollen en opdrachten altijd beschikbaar zijn. Het kan worden geüpgraded in het veld via de USB-poort, die ook dient als een oplaadpoort voor de interne batterij.

AEOTEC's Z-stick maakt uw computer het hart van uw Z-WAVE-netwerk waarmee u een extern netwerk maakt dat in staat is om alle aspecten van uw Z-Wave Home Automation-systeem te besturen. Het bevat een batterij en een eenvoudige drukknop die het gemakkelijk en handig maakt om een computer met het Z-WAVE-netwerk aan te sluiten.
