Which z wave stick / hub / device do you recommend for use with Secure Thermostat / Receiver and Homeseer? Please note I am a long time user of Homeseer (early 2000) upgrading from HS1,2 to HS3. For the last 15 years I have used a purpose designed multi (6) zone system controlled by Homeseer running Xap plugin to Phaedrus NETIOM to create heating scenes. I am now moving on to an existing single zone combi boiler dwelling. I have no desire or requirement to rejig the new system to a plumbed multi-zone effort. I see this combination as a first step to migrate to a zwave set up from my X10 devices, curing the heating issue in the process. View answer

Hello Could I use this connected to the 12v bell output (I.e. the +and- terminals) in my house intruder alarm to tell my Samsung SmartThings box that the siren is ringing? This would be a remote alert as lightening frazzled the built-in comms dialler! It’s not clear to me from the manual that I could put the 12v through to say “it’s ringing” and “stopped ringing” when it’s 0v. Managed to put in a workaround but I found with a original style lightbulb it would cut out when I turn the brightness above 60% and then start flashing red. I've updated the config so that max power is 60% as this is just the porch light and I don't really need it that bright in there. But I'm concerned what happens if I purchase more.

I have purchased this and it works fine, but I can't find a way to mount it nicely. UK backboxes and the extension plates for them have recessed mounting tabs. The switch can xxxx on to these with no problem, but it is recessed too far for the front cover to be able to clip onto the main switch housing. Please advise.

I have 2 questions; firstly in the manual it says this can be burried concrete with the right protection, what would that protection be please?? I am using the Fibaro Dimmer 2 to control the main lights in my lounge on S1, and to control the lamps by association in Group 5 which are connected to wall dimmers using S2. I have managed to get it all working, but I would like to connect more than one lamp. I have tried to add a second association but it never seems to stick. I have attempted this with OpenHAB, my main server, and with Domoticz control centre. Can you tell me whether this is possible? From the limited documentation I can find, and my experience with associating other devices, I believe it should be.

I am looking for a capacitive mono-stable wall switch to be used with a z-wave dimmer module. I'm struggling to find ones which will work as desired as most will not register a long press/hold – instead, they always accept touch as a momentary on/off. What I would like is for it to mimic a mono-stable switch (bell-push) i.e. touch once for on/off and hold for dim up/down, which I know can be set by the Fibaro parameters – but I can't find a capacitive plate wall plate that does this. Note, ideally I'm looking a double switch.
