Il grande vantaggio della Z-Rain è che non solo rileva la pioggia ma misura anche l'esatta quantità di pioggia. Una piccola piccola doccia non è sempre un motivo per chiudere le finestre laterali. Puoi anche configurare il valore della pioggia, quando vuoi essere informato sulla pioggia. Durante una pioggia la Z-Rain riporta la quantità di pioggia ogni 1024 secondi in m3 (somma totale delle precipitazioni), mm per m2 e mm / h (forza corrente della pioggia) al Smart Home Gateway.. Quando la pioggia interrompe l'ultimo valore misurato verrà inviato al gateway. Successivamente il valore diventerà di nuovo NIL. Con ciò puoi spegnere l'annaffiatura del giardino con l'inizio di una precipitazione e accendere il ciclo di irrigazione successivo in base alle misure delle ultime precipitazioni.

Grazie all'onda Z e all'operazione con due batterie AAA standard, la Z-Rain può essere posizionata ovunque nel tuo giardino. A causa della tecnologia di richiamo della batteria integrata, la Z-Rain potrebbe avere una vita fino a 5 anni a seconda dell'intervallo sveglia.
