This advanced door and window sensor detects openings instantly while measuring tilt angle and light levels to enhance automation. Designed for easy installation on doors, windows, gates, and garage doors, it triggers smart home actions that boost security and convenience.
Utilizing the Z-Wave protocol, the sensor supports both open/close detection and tilt measurement, making it a versatile addition to any smart home setup.
When a tilt-and-turn door or window opens, the device immediately sends data about the event, current illumination, and battery status. Two seconds later, it transmits the inclination angle (if enabled via parameter 155) along with the updated battery status. Upon closing, the device broadcasts information about the event, a zero inclination angle, current illumination, and battery status at the moment of closure.
You can position the magnet to the left, right, above, or below the sensor unit. To monitor a tilt-and-turn door or window, install the sensor unit on the door or window and place the magnet on the frame. Use the included double-sided foam stickers to secure both components firmly. Depending on the frame, you may need to adjust alignment by raising either the magnet or sensor unit with shims. For conventional doors or windows, it is recommended to mount the sensor unit on the frame and the magnet on the door or window whenever possible.
